Knitting with round knitting looms is an easy and fun activity for people of all ages. The process can be learned in a few minutes and allows a person to make hats, socks, slippers, leg warmers, and scarves with ease. The smaller looms are used to make socks, slippers, leg warmers, and scarves and come in three standard sizes - 3", 4", and 5" diameter . The larger looms are used to make hats, cowls, and scarves and come in two standard sizes - 8" and 9" diameter. Complete written instruction come with each loom.
Round Looms, Size Selection Examples:
Price:
Looms are custom made to order from select hardwoods at $25.00 per
foot along the long side of the loom plus shipping. Any size from one
foot to eight feet can be provided with a three week lead time.
Small looms (available in 3", 4", and 5") $15 EACH
+ S/H
Larger looms (available in 8" and 9") $20 EACH + S/H
Custom sizes can be made to order, but with a longer delivery time.
Hats: A hat made from an 8" round loom would be 8" in diameter at the base for a medium hat size and a 9" loom would produce a large hat size.
Socks: A four-inch round loom can be used to make socks for the average adult female or small male. The 5" round loom would make socks for a large male or if the sock is felted, which makes it shrink, slippers for an average size person. The 3" sock loom would be used to make socks for older children (10-14 yrs. old). Custom sizes can be ordered.
Scarves: Scarves can be made on any of the looms. To make a standard scarf, instead of going all the way around and around every row, you leave the last peg empty and reverse directions, going back and forth on the loom. On the larger looms you would probably only go half way before turning back so that the scarf didn't get too wide. You can also go ahead and make a long tube and use it for a scarf / muffler by putting your hands in the ends.
(Handcrafted Triangle Weaving Looms)

The
products made on the triangle loom are triangular in shape when they are
finished. Depending on the size of the triangles you are weaving, they
can be pieced together (whip stitched) to make other items of almost any
configuration including pillow covers, placemats, ruanahas, couch throws,
afghans, or bedspreads.
Weaving on the triangle loom is as rewarding as it is simple. There is no "dressing" to be done; you just start right in weaving from the beginning. Using a single strand of yarn you add both a warp and a weft strand with each pass across the loom. Tartans are a snap since the symmetry is automatic using this technique. Complete written instructions are included with each loom. No previous experience is needed.
Size selection examples:
Size selection depends on what you want to make. A 3-1/2 foot loom could
be used to make a shawl for a child or 4 of them could be pieced together
to make a 7 foot adult shawl. Two 4-foot shawls could be put together
to make a shoulder throw, etc. We will be happy to provide more information
on size selection for specific projects.
